It was indeed closed because it was felt the attraction had run its course and a new show was needed. The current version is roughly the fourth generation of the original replacement show. >Irish Tenor: Fenton Burley, remember those eyebrows he could move > at will? Dick HARDWICK is a professional comedian who writes and performs around the country. He also occasionally is called in to perform for special events. Dick's brother is a musician who works casual gigs, occasionally he subbed into Billy Hill and the Hillbillies in Critter Country >Sluefoot Sue: Betty Taylor, Even at 40ish (ok maybe 50ish) > VAAAVOOM!!! I understand that it might be >since it is not a high volume attraction and the costs per viewing >guest is probably the highest in the park. The fate of the Horseshoe is always in flux, simply because it is not a high volume attraction and live entertainment is an expensive endeavor. You may have noticed that the majority of the live entertainment in the Park has been eliminated over the last two years. The fact it is running 5 days a week is an improvement, since there was a time when it only ran three. For many reasons, it will be very unfortunate the day it is finally closed.
