From: twitmek@aol.com (TWITmek) Subject: SPECIAL EVENT: Mickey's Halloween Treat in October (INFO) Date: 23 Aug 1995 18:12:18 -0400 Received the following in the mail yesterday and thought it might be interesting to RAD members and others. Here goes... Mickey's Halloween Treat The New Family Adventure Disneyland When Halloween rolls around, join us at the Earth's "happiest" haunting ground--Disneyland! That's right. On four separate nights, October 26, 27, 30 and 31, a wonderful Halloween spell will be cast over the Magic Kingdom. And each night, from 6:30p.m. to 11:30p.m., "The Happiest Place on Earth" will be transformed into a fabulous setting for Halloween fun. It's "Mickey's Halloween Treat!" for you and your family--an event sure to evoke fond memories of a traditional Halloween. During Mickey's Halloween Treat!, kids of all ages can "trick or treat" from Main Street Station--to Mickey's Toontown--to the far corners of Critter Country. Imagine, throughout the park there'll be as many as 50 "trick or treat" locations for you to visit for complimentary treats. And we'll supply you with a collectible bad for your goodies. Wow, "trick or treating" at Disneyland--now that's a kid's dream come true! And if doesn't boo you over, attendance for each night will be limited! And you'll enjoy many of your favorite Disneyland attractions,* plus: o Be among the lucky families to win a spot in our fabulous Kids Costume Parade down Main Street U.S.A. o Meet up with more Disney Characters than you've ever seen at Disneyland! They'll be on hand to entertain in lighthearted skits and help everyone get into the spirit of things. It'll be the ultimate photo opportunity! o Encounter the wrath of Maleficent as she sets fire to the Rivers of America, then conjures up a haunted sailing ship with ghostly pirates prepared to take over Disneyland. o Witness the aging of Sleeping Beauty Castle as the majestic bastion appears as if it's been asleep for hundreds of years--the walls overgrown with giant vines and creeping greenery. And let's talk villains! Have Disney Villains seized the castle? o Prepare for a completely different Disneyland experience! Keep an eye open for "real" silly ghosts and goblins in the Haunted Mansion. Meet up with some "lively" buccaneers on Pirates of the Carribean. Join the search for hidden animals in The Jungle Cruise game. o Create your own hand-held mask and be part of the fun as Mickey's Toontown throws a wacky masquerade ball. o Stroll down Main Street U.S.A. to experience the sights, sounds and aromas of an autumn harvest. Try your hand at designing a jack-o'-lantern. Snack on a freshly dipped caramel apple. Or decorate a Halloween cookie. o Discover delicious seasonal foods such as buttered corn on the cob, ribs and turkey drumsticks hot off the grill; commemorative merchandise, unique musical entertainment, and much more! o Check out the Park's fun selection of Halloween costumes and accessories, available for purchase.
