From: jst8@cornell.edu (Ann Elk) Newsgroups: rec.arts.disney.parks Subject: Adventurers Club Straight Poop #2 Date: Mon, 09 Oct 95 13:37:38 GMT Continuing the seemingly neverending story of America's favorite nearly indescribable destination... Answering the oft asked question "Who the hell are all these people anyway?", here are the names of those who are usually encountered: Pamelia Perkins, Club President Professor Otis T. Wren, Club Treasurer and Ichthyologist (fish scientist) Fletcher Hodges, curator Samantha Sterling, accomplished explorer Hathaway Browne, aviator Emil Bleehall, visiting pigeon trainer from Sandusky, Ohio (Club chapter #602) Colonel Critchlow Suchbench, head of security (sits on a small balcony in the central room Graves, the butler (deliverer of messages and worth listening to) -and a staff of maids: Annelle, Fanny, Ginger, Dottie, Inga, and sometimes Sunny. Past maids no longer in the club's employ: Doreen (the original maid), Flo, Millie, Gladys, Dusty, and Marion. Showing up now and then are one of the Gypsies: Madame Lulu, Madame Smith, Madame Sit, Madame Whatsit or Madame Signe. Past club inhabitants who have moved on: Marcel, an ape who helped with assorted club duties and Mandora, expert in just about everything Often mentioned but never seen are members such as Sutter Bestwick, Chilton Thompson, Sheila Griffin, and of course Merriweather himself. (In 1937, Mr. Pleasure is still quite alive and is sailing the South Atlantic with his daughter, Merriam.) There have also been assorted members and guests who have visited only for a night or two. Their names are truly trivial! All the bartenders are named Nash. All the servers keep their own names, but many of them are not tipped well enough by guests (hint hint). Door hosts also play themselves. In addition, other entities on the premises include Beezle (genie of the lantern), Babylonia (goddess adorning the wall), Arnie & Claude (comedy and tragedy masks), the Yakoose (a yak/moose hybrid), and Fingers Zambeeze (the musical spirit in the pipe organ). Stay tuned. Kungaloosh!
